Improved broiler “ROSS” performances and gains in farm profits
Physical Examination
On physical examination, the birds were weak and not eating properly.
Treatment
No pathogenic cause was deduced as the mortality was not so high.
CHALLENGES IN BODY SCORED IN THE PROTEIN-DEFICIENT DIET.(VEGETARIAN DIET)
There were 3 yrs of Labrador dog “Bruno”. Bruno belongs to a vegetarian family. From a younger age, Bruno was fed on a vegetarian diet. After a certain age, Bruno’s parents observed that Bruno’s body score is too thin compare to a dog of the same breed and age and he falls sick too often. On clinical examination, it was observed that Bruno was underweight, has a dull coat, depressed immunity, and also had low food intake. It was advised that the dog needs to be a shift to a non-veg diet or protein-rich diet to overcome this condition. But as Bruno’s parents are vegetarian it was a little difficult for
In this case, setpro is suggested by a veterinarian along with a vegetarian diet.Approximately 10 gm/day of the setpro sprinkled over the food. After the month of consuming stepro along with food, it was observed that Bruno’s body score is improved, increase in food intake also hair coat much better than previous.
Setpro provides the maximum quantity of protein, provides 10 gm protein daily along with micronutrients like vitamins and minerals which are required for the metabolism of protein. Setpro helps to improve body condition and body mass which overall improves immunity and coat condition.
MANAGEMENT OF DCAD IN CLOSE UP COW FOR OPTIMUM MILK PRODUCTION
During lactation, managing cow for optimum milk production is a crucial role/factor for any herd/farm manager. Periparturient management plays a crucial role in keeping cow healthy and producing. Most economically important diseases like ROP, infertility, uterine infections, metabolic disorders, and mastitis causes loss of milk production and financial losses. Also complications like post parturient anestrus, delayed estrus, silent heat, and uterine infection increases open period.
Managing close up cow is most important, for getting maximum milk from lactating cow by controlling metabolic disorders and improving immunity.
Blood calcium level at periparturation decides normal physiological status and optimum health of the animal. Managing DCAD (Dietary Cation Anion Difference) helps cow to keep blood calcium level at optimum during periparturation. Supplementation of the maximum amount of Vitamins and minerals helps to improve immunity and normal physiological status at periparturation. The present study was focused on treating close up cow to control the periparturation complications in a progressive dairy farm, where incidence ROP, metabolic disorders, infertility & low milk production were reported.
Treatment:
VETRIMIX CLOSE UP is the combination of Vitamin, Minerals, Choline and Anionic salts, specially formulated to control all metabolic disorders and to improve immunity of animals during periparturation. Five cows were treated/supplemented with VETRIMIX CLOSE UP to control the periparturation complications.
Result:
After 90 days of study, all the five cows show amazing results during the observation period of post parturition. There were not a single complication before parturition, Udder was well developed. All cow were parturated without any assistance, placenta was expelled after 4 to 8 hours of parturition. Not a single incidence of metabolic disorders found in any of the cow. All cows reach the peak milk yield during the period of 25th to 35th day. All cows produced 20 to 35 % more milk in the first 3 month as compare to last lactation. Most of the cow shows prominent heat at 42 to 63 day and conceives within a period of 100 days. Not a single incidence of clinical mastitis was found during the observation period of 90 days.
Conclusion:
Supplementation of VETRIMIX CLOSE UP for 20 days before parturition helps to control DCAD, maintained optimum blood calcium at periparturation, improves immunity and keep the cows in normal physiological status which helps in reaching the peak lactation earlier, helps to breed normally and produce more milk throughout lactation.
Decline in Broiler attack mortality and maximizing farm profits
The poultry farm “Rakshe Poultry Farm” located at Somatnephata. It is a broiler farm with a capacity of 5000 birds per shed and there were three sheds. The age of bird was 18 days, the owner complained about sudden death in chicks. The mortality was low ruling out possibility of infectious disease
Past history
After visiting the farm it was observed that the some birds were gasping,
Physical Examination:
After close examination, the bird were showing respiratory discomfort, uneasiness, some were showing sign of lameness. On P/M examination it was observed that liver and kidney was slightly enlarged, lungs was congested and edematous.
Treatment Order
It was suggested to farmer to reduce the diet and provide them with electrolyte and livertonic Hemeliv and Electrovet was suggested
Feed back
As expected, the farmer told the moratlity reduce considerably, and the gasping sign also reduce within 2 days.
Conclusion
The proper cause of sudden death syndrome is still unknown, Hemeliv has been shown to be quite effective in sudden death syndrome in field condition.
Improvement in Platelet Count with Setplet
There were 2 yrs of dog, who had a history of tick infestation. On clinical examination, it was observed that dog had a high fever, pale mucus membrane, and ticks were present on the body. On laboratory diagnosis, it was detected that platelet count is very low that is up to 35000 and a dog was suffered from petechial hemorrhages. In this case, selplet was suggested along with treatment as supportive therapy. After consumption of selplet for 4-5 consecutive days, it was observed that the dog was recovering fast. Also, laboratory report shows that platelet count significantly increased upto 1,80 000.
The key ingredient of setplet is Carica papaya, which contains complex biochemical constituents that help boost the platelet count by stimulating bone marrow. Other than this it contains elemental iron, along with folic acid, cobalt, and Vit.B12 which helps in thrombopoiesis and hematopoiesis. Setplet helps in the management of thrombocytopenia in tick fever cases.
EXPULSION OF PLACENTA IN ABORTION CASE
Retained placenta affects calving interval as well as calving to conception intervals particularly when there is delay in managing the cow, leading to complications by secondary bacterial infections that causes metritis and mastitis. This case reports the clinical management of retained placenta in a dairy cow which is an economically important disease in the dairy industry. The brucellosis is associated with abortion during the last trimester of pregnancy, stillbirths or weak newborn calves and infertility among cows and bulls. The present study, was focused on treating retained placenta case in a commercial dairy farm, where incidence of abortion, retention of placenta and
Treatment:
Considering history of abortion in 3rd trimester of pregnancy, it is recommended to give Vetbolic. Generally, as in cases of abortion, it is very difficult to expelled placenta normally as placenta is strongly attached to cotyledons. And also, third labor was not prominent and the body score of the cow was almost 3.5 as in lactation. VETBOLIC was given immediately after abortion to prevent further complication of uterus.
Veterinarian recommended VETBOLIC along with other parental treatment. VETBOLIC is a powerful Ecbolic with a triple action formula, abortifacient herbs, immunostimulant like vitamin E & Selenium & Calcium. Abortifacient herbs help in expulsion of placenta by initiating third labor, immunostimulant helps to separate placenta from cotyledons and Calcium helps to improve uterine contractions for expulsion of placenta.
Result:
Placenta expelled within 4hrs of abortion completely, uterus was clean, cow stand normally as its natural delivery, start eating properly. After 15 days cow come on normal milk production. On the 40th day, per rectal examination was carried out for involution of the uterus. Uterus was of normal size and cow shows prominent heat on 64th day after abortion.
Conclusion:
Immediate use of Vetbolic after parturition or abortion helps in proper expulsion of placenta within 4 to 8 hours. This keeps the uterus clean, maintains blood calcium level at parturition and helps avoid post parturient complications like hypocalcemia, anorexia etc.
